Beosound Balance Natura speaker by Bang & Olufsen and Antolini

Dezeen Showroom: audio brand Bang & Olufsen collaborated with Italian natural stone company Antolini to produce the Beosound Balance Natura, a speaker on a striking stone pedestal.

Based on the Beosound Balance speaker design by studio Layer, the Beosound Balance Natura was launched at Milan design week and features a dramatically elongated pedestal or plinth made of natural quartz stone.

This plinth not only makes a statement within an interior but it serves a functional purpose, elevating the speaker to its optimum height.

The collaboration between Bang & Olufsen and Antolini was about celebrating the commitment to innovation and craftsmanship shared by both brands, Antolini stated, as well as combining each of their material strengths – in aluminium and stone respectively – into one harmonious object.

The use of an anodised aluminium ring, colour-matched to the stone, adds refinement and smooths the transition from stone sculpture below to technological object above.

The Beosound Balance Natura speaker is available in a range of Antolini's Exclusive Collection stones, including the glacier-like Cristallo Vitrum "Wow" and pink-hued Cristall Rosa "Wow". It is also available in some of Antolini's unusual petrified woods.
