Montage Healdsburg appoints Nikki Severson Director of Spa

HEALDSBURG, CALIF. – Montage Healdsburg announce the appointment of Nikki Severson as director of spa, overseeing the resort’s 11,500-square-foot Spa Montage, a serene retreat inspired by the natural beauty of Sonoma wine country. With more than 25 years of experience in luxury wellness and spa operations, Severson will guide Spa Montage’s vision and strategy, ensuring an elevated guest experience rooted in relaxation and renewal.

Severson joins Montage Healdsburg from Spa Terra at The Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif., where she served as director of spa and wellness, overseeing the resort’s spa retreat housed within an underground cave. Leading a team of more than 50 spa professionals, she refined Spa Terra’s luxury offerings, enhanced the guest experience, and helped earn its recognition as the #1 Spa in Napa by Spas of America. Her extensive career also includes leadership roles at Graton Resort & Casino in Rohnert Park, Calif.; Kalahari Resort & Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio; and Sundara Inn & Spa in Wisconsin Dells, Wisc., where she contributed to the spa’s #3 ranking in the U.S. by Good Morning America. In addition, Severson was instrumental in the openings of Spa Kalahari at Kalahari Resort in Pocono Summit, Pa., and Potosa Spa at Hotel Julien in Dubuque, Iowa, building their wellness programs from the ground up.

A native of Wisconsin, Severson earned certificates in cosmetology and fashion merchandizing from Capri Cosmetology College in Madison, Wisc., and Capri College in Dubuque, Iowa, respectively.
