The “threatening and aggressive” language and behaviour used by Mickey Rourke that led to his Celebrity Big Brother exit has been revealed.

The Hollywood star entered the show as a contestant last week, though his time on the series has been mired in controversy.

Over the weekend, Rourke left the show “following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour” towards fellow housemate Chris Hughes.

The full context for the exit has now been revealed, with tensions mounting as the housemates did a pirate-themed task once Trisha Goddard declared that there was a “rat” among them to captain JoJo Siwa.

Hughes then looked at Rourke, who proceeded to confront Hughes as the latter then whispered to Jack P. Shepherd to “stick up” for him.

“You looking at me?” Rourke said to him, as Siwa in her captain role got Rourke to stand back in line, the Wrestler actor then telling Hughes: “Don’t eyeball me.”

“Mickey, it was a joke, fucking–,” Hughes hit back, Rourke adding: “Don’t fucking eyeball me you cunt.”

As others tried to diffuse the situation, Hughes said: “Fucking stand there.”

As things escalated, Big Brother then demanded Rourke come to the Diary Room, as Rourke told Hughes: “No, your ass will be right there in a second.”

Rourke eventually left the room and was warned in the Diary Room, returning to the house as he apologised to Hughes.

However, Ella Rae Wise told Hughes of comments Rourke made earlier that made her “feel very uneasy” (via Metro), referring to an interaction earlier where she asked: “Mickey come with me,” to which Rourke replied: “What, come in you?”

She confessed in the Diary Room while in tears: “I don’t like the sexual jokes. I’m a young girl. I’m not a piece of meat. He’s making people feel really uneasy.”

Big Brother later brought Rourke back to the Diary Room, where he was told: “Mickey, Big Brother needs to speak to you about your behaviour.

“Earlier today in a disagreement with Chris, your language and behaviour was threatening and aggressive. Big Brother does not tolerate threatening language or behaviour. In addition, you have used inappropriate sexual language to Ella.”

“Oh, I’m not aware of that, but OK,” he replied, before Big Brother added: “This language has caused offence to your fellow housemates and could cause offence to the viewing public. This is not the first time Big Brother has had to speak to you about your offensive and inappropriate language.”

“Yes, sir. I did wrong. I apologise. I’m sorry,” Rourke said. “I can’t take it back, you know? I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. ‘Cause I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life, and I wish I would have had better self-control, and I’m very sorry.

“I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there. Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt, or maybe others have feelings about someone getting upset, but you know, I’m sorry about that.”

He was then told that they had “no option” to remove him from the house, Rourke replying: “I blame myself; I know it was my bad. You know, I’ve got a short fuse, and I know I upset a lot of people out there, you know? And I’m sorry for that.

“I’m actually ashamed of myself for getting that hot. I went over the line, you know? I did wrong. I guess, like they say, I’m a work in progress. I just wanna pack my bags and leave, you know. I wanted to leave yesterday, actually, but I wasn’t chosen.”

Rourke has sparked controversy throughout the series, with the star appearing to deliberately push himself against host AJ Odudu when he first appeared. He also drew headlines for using “offensive and unacceptable” homophobic language towards Siwa, which he later apologised for.
