With today marking the 85th anniversary of the first appearance of Jimmy Olsen, a major supporting character in “Superman” lore, DC Studios chief and filmmaker James Gunn has shared a new behind-the-scenes image from his upcoming “Superman” film.

The shot shows Gunn alongside actor Skyler Gisondo who portrays Jimmy Olsen in the film, with the pair seemingly discussing something between takes. The film itself opens in cinemas on July 11th. [Source:X]

Silent Night
Rohan Campbell (“Halloween Ends,” “The Monkey”) keeps racking up horror films, the Canadian actor has landed the lead role of Billy Chapman in a new take on slasher classic “Silent Night, Deadly Night”. The film hit U.S. cinemas in the holiday season.

The original follows a young man left traumatized a decade earlier after seeing his parents killed by a man dressed as Santa Claus. Ten years later, a psychotic Billy puts on a Santa suit himself and gets bloody revenge. [Source: Fangoria]

Untitled Alejandro G. Inarritu Feature
“House of the Dragon” star Emma D’Arcy will join Tom Cruise in Oscar-winning filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s new untitled feature currently shooting at Pinewood Studios in the UK ahead of an October 2026 release.

Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons & Sophie Wilde also star in the film in which the most powerful man in the world [who] embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleashed destroys everything. [Source: Deadline]

Untitled Jesse Eisenberg Next
A24 has boarded “A Real Pain” writer-director Jesse Eisenberg’s next untitled comedy which began filming his month in New Jersey. Julianne Moore, Paul Giamatti, Halle Bailey, Havana Rose Liu, and Bernadette Peters co-star.

The story follows a shy woman who goes to extremes and loses herself in a role when she is unexpectedly cast in a community theatre musical production. Eisenberg also wrote the original music and lyrics for the film’s musical. [Source: Screen Daily]
