Watch Built to Spill play Bernie Sanders’ ‘Fighting Oligarchy’ rally in Boise
Their seven-song set included “I Would Hurt a Fly” (heard here), “Carry the Zero,” “Reasons,” and more.

Built to Spill warmed up the crowd at Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez‘s Boise stop on the ‘Fighting Oligarchy’ tour on Monday night at the Ford Idaho Center Arena. Their seven-song set included “I Would Hurt a Fly” (heard here), “Carry the Zero,” “Reasons,” and more. Most 12,000 people who attended the rally were just there just for Bernie and AOC, but there were definitely Built to Spill fans there too.
Bernie told the crowd that though Idaho overwhelmingly voted for Trump in the 2024 election, he said “we don’t accept this blue state, red state nonsense. We are one people.” Ocasio-Cortez said, “We’re here to flip this state. We might all come from different places, but we share so many of the same experiences.”
You can watch the whole rally, Built to Spill’s set included, below.
The Fighting Oligarchy tour was in LA on Saturday with Neil Young, Joan Baez, Jeff Rosenstock and more, and Bernie introduced Clairo at Coachella.
