‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ – Exclusive Look at the Fisherman Slicing & Dicing a Victim!

Today is a big day here on Bloody Disgusting, as it marks the launch of our massive Summer Preview, which will feature 30+ horror movies you don’t want to miss this Summer along with brand new exclusive images from some of the most anticipated new movies on that list. One of the big titles slashing our way this Summer, of course, is I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. are both back for the brand new sequel to the ’90s slasher, with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge) in the director’s chair.

Kaytin Robinson teases in an exclusive chat with Bloody Disgusting, “The Fisherman is coming for everyone. Each of our characters end up face to face with the slicker. And only some of them make it out alive. Surviving is definitely not in the cards for all of our players.”

Sony has also provided Bloody Disgusting with an exclusive first look at the Fisherman from the new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie, with Kaytin Robinson teasing a more brutal slasher than we’ve ever seen from the franchise before. A new killer means new weapons.

“The Slicker, hook, and body count are all getting an upgrade,” Kaytin Robinson teases. “The hook is the weapon of choice, but this time The Fisherman has a lot more in the arsenal. We looked at all different nautical-themed weaponry for The Fisherman to collect victims with.”

I Know What You Did Last Summer returns to the big screen on July 18, 2025.

In this summer’s new movie, “When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge.

“As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.”

Madelyn Cline (“Outer Banks”), Chase Sui Wonders (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid), Tyriq Withers (Him), and Sarah Pidgeon (“The Wilds”) lead the new cast of fresh faces that’ll appear alongside Julie James and Ray Bronson.
