Guerilla Toss share new Stephen Malkmus-produced single “Psychosis is Just a Number”

NYC band Guerilla Toss are back with a new standalone single, their first new music since their 2022 Sub Pop debut Famously Alive. “Psychosis is Just a Number” was produced by Stephen Malkmus — Pavement tapped GT to open a few shows on their 2022 reunion tour — and mixed by Jorge Elbrecht (Weyes Blood, Angel Olsen). It’s a post-punk party record full of herky-jerky rhythms, skroky guitars and a very catchy chorus, and you can watch the video below.

Guerilla Toss also have a few NYC-area shows lined up: Knockdown Center’s free 9th anniversary party on May 8 with with Tiki Disco, Laraaji, Couch Slut, and “Special Guest”; Bethel Woods’ Buildfest  on September 12; Tubby’s Kingston on September 13 with M. Geddes Gengras; and Brooklyn Bowl on October 16.
