Free Beta Weekend Available Now for ‘Stygian: Outer Gods’; New Gameplay Trailer Released [Watch]

Ahead of the Early Access release of Stygian: Outer Gods, Misterial Games and Fulqrum Publishing have offered up a one-two punch for fans. Not only has the game received a new gameplay trailer, but you can get a taste of the horror with a free preview of the game this weekend.

From April 4 – 7, Stygian: Outer Gods will be available for players to try out via the free beta. You’ll need to sign up to get access to it, but that’s a small step. The beta greatly expands on the introductory section which was available during the recent Steam Next Fest, and will allow players to explore a large part of Kingsport, where they will be tasked with gaining access to the mysterious Brasko family mansion.

Meanwhile, the new trailer offers up a glimpse of the horrors you’ll face in Kingsport, while also showing off some of the game mechanics.

Set in the universe of 2019’s Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones, Outer Gods involves the events preceding the Black Day. You’ll take on the role of a mercenary accompanying the enigmatic girl to the foggy settlement of Kingsport to uncover her family’s dark secret. Unfortunately, you become shipwrecked, and soon encounter the nightmares that have haunted this place for centuries. You must now find your way out while preventing the coming of the ancient Outer Gods, all the while keeping your sanity.

Stygian: Outer Gods launches into Early Access on Steam on April 14. The game will release for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series for the game’s 1.0 launch at a later date.
