Aeris chandelier by Ross Gardam

Dezeen Showroom: the "ethereal beauty of clouds" was the visual reference for Aeris, a range of sculptural chandeliers designed by Melbourne studio Ross Gardam.

Aeris chandeliers are formed of clusters of mouth-blown glass suspended from slender hand-rubbed brass bars, designed by Ross Gardam to create the look of weightlessness.

"Inspired by the ethereal beauty of clouds, Aeris embodies softness and lightness through the repetition of sculptural forms, crafting an ethereal centerpiece," said the studio.

"Each mouth-blown glass cloud is paired with architecturally crafted brass bars that cross and lightly kiss together, evoking a sense of weightlessness, as if suspended in air."

The glass shades of Aeris are currently available in four tones, each offering a different coloured glow ranging from soft whites to dark silvers.

In addition to natural hand-rubbed brass, the bars from which they are suspended are also made with bronze and blackened finishes and arranged in pendant, wall light and table lamp configurations.
