Billy Corgan And the Machines of God announce tour playing songs from ‘Melon Collie’ & ‘Machina’

Billy Corgan has announced that his new project, Billy Corgan And the Machines of God, will be touring this summer. Dubbed the Return to Zero Tour, it will be in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Smashing Pumpkins’ Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and the 25th anniversary of Machina. The tour will feature songs from those albums along with last year’s Aghori Mhori Mei and it kicks off June 7 in Baltimore. All dates are listed below.

The NYC stop on the tour is at June 13 at Irving Plaza and tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, April 4 at 10 AM local time.

The lineup of the band for this tour is Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Kiki Wong, drummer Jake Hayden and bassist Kid Tigrrr (Jenna Fournier).

Along with the tour announcement comes new of new “reconstituted” reissues 2000 concept albums Machina/The Machines of God and its companion Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music. The 80 song box set will be available exclusively at Corgan’s Madame Zuzu’s tea shop in Highland Park, IL. It features a 48-track ‘MACHINA’ plus an additional 32 bonus tracks of demos, outtakes, and live performances, “marking the first time these two records will officially be united.” There will also be a standard reissue on August 22.
