Snowing’s John Galm re-activates solo project with “Summer After Work”
Not only are Snowing coming back for reunion shows this year, singer John Galm has just released a new solo single on Snowing’s former label Count Your Lucky Stars.

Not only are Snowing coming back for some rare reunion shows (opening for Bear vs Shark), singer John Galm has also signed to Snowing’s former label Count Your Lucky Stars as a solo artist and he just released the new single “Summer After Work.” It’s a gorgeous, somber indie folk song in the vein of Sufjan Stevens, Elliott Smith, Iron & Wine, etc, and John proves to have just as much a knack for this as he does for the louder, noisier music he’d made over the years. CYLS says this song is “a teaser of more to come this year” and the label says “we’ll give you all the details soon enough, but we couldn’t wait any longer for the world to hear this track.” For John–who also made music with Mt. Worry and Bad Heaven in recent years–this is his first proper solo release since 2014’s Sky of No Stars. Check it out below.
Snowing’s run with Bear vs Shark includes the shows happening at Cambridge’s Sinclair on April 8, Brooklyn’s Warsaw on April 11, and DC’s Atlantis on April 12.
