A24 Reveals 'Past Lives' Screenplay Book

A24 has built quite an archive of screenplay books, paying in-print homage to some of its most beloved titles such as Everything Everywhere All At Once, Moonlight, Midsommar and Minari. For its thirteenth book in its Screenplay Book series, A24 is inviting us into the world of one of its beloved 2023 films with Book 013: Past Lives. The Past Lives hardcover book – which spans 164 pages – takes the typical Screenplay Book dimensions of 8 in. x 11 in. and comes with a pastel purple cover. The book opens with an introduction by playwright Lynn Nottage, followed up by copies of the screenplay in both English and Korean for Section I.Section II is entitled "24 Frames," and focuses in on notable frames from the film, authored by cinematographer Shabier Kirchner. A pair of essays come from writers Sloane Crosley and Doreen St. Félix as Sections III and IV, before the book closes out with Section V: a conversation called "True Love Leaves No Traces" between the film's director Celine Song and philosopher Andrew H.
