White Collar Renaissance
“White Collar” series creator Jeff Eastin will reportedly take out the pitch for the revival of the USA Network series in the next week or so. 20th Television is producing the project with Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay and Tiffani Thiessen expected to reprise their roles.
The project is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney TV Studios. Hulu was originally offered but not to proceed – leading to the project being taken to the open market. [Source: Deadline]
Holes
“WandaVision” and “Agatha All Along” creator Jac Schaeffer will direct the pilot episode for the Disney+ series adaptation of Louis Sachar’s 1998 book “Holes”. Alina Mankin is writer/executive producer while Liz Phang is showrunner and executive producer.
The story follows a teenage girl, who is sent to a detention camp where the ruthless Warden forces the campers to dig holes for a mysterious purpose. Shia LaBeouf starred in a 2003 film adaptation. [Source: Variety]
Industry
“Industry” scene stealer Harry Lawtey will not be returning to the HBO corporate thriller series for its fourth season that begins filming next month in the UK. His exit is said to be due to scheduling conflicts.
Meanwhile Max Minghella has joined the cast as Whitney Halberstram, the CFO of payment processor firm Tender. Myha’la, Marisa Abela, Ken Leung, Sagar Radia, Kit Harington, and Miriam Petche also star. [Source: TV Line]
The Bondsman
Amazon Prime Video and Blumhouse Television have released first look photos from the eight-episode limited series “The Bondsman” which premieres April 3rd. Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Nettles, Damon Herriman, Beth Grant, Maxwell Jenkins and Jolene Purdy co-star.
Bacon plays Hub Halloran, a bounty hunter resurrected by the Devil to capture demons who have escaped hell. He uses his estranged family to help, and learn about his own sins along the way. [Source: Vanity Fair]
