Sean Baker’s five-time Oscar-winning film “Anora” has officially announced as being available to stream on Hulu starting March 17th. The news comes the day after the film swept the awards race and took Best Picture, Actress, Director, Editing and Original Screenplay honors. Eddington
A24 has released the first photo from “Herediatry” and “Midsommar” director Ari Aster’s new film “Eddington” starring Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward and Clifton Collins Jr.

The pandemic-set western deals with the rivalry between a sheriff (Phoenix) and a local mayor (Pascal). Sparks fly when the former decides to run for mayor after he refuses to wear a face mask at the local grocery store. The current mayor, who thought he’d be running unopposed, is not happy. Remain
Alicia Vikander is rumored to be no longer attached as co-star alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in M. Night Shyamalan’s new film “Remain” which begins filming in August.

The work is a supernatural romantic thriller feature based on an original story co-created by Shyamalan and bestselling novelist Nicholas Sparks. Shyamalan and Sparks are independently writing a screenplay and a novel, respectively. [Source: WoR]

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed
Former “Orphan Black” and “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” star Tatiana Maslany will lead the new darkly comedic thriller series “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” on the Apple TV+ service.

David J. Rosen (“Sugar,” “Hunters”) created the half-hour series which follows a newly divorced mom who falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder and youth soccer. David Gordon Green, Simon Kinberg, Bard Dorros and Audrey Chon executive produce. [Source: Variety]

Lucky
Production officially started in Las Vegas this past week on the Apple TV+ limited series “Lucky” starring and executive produced by Anya Taylor-Joy and executive produced by Reese Witherspoon. Jonathan Tropper pens the script based on Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel.

Annette Bening, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Timothy Olyphant and Drew Starkey co-star in the series which will mostly film in L.A. with the help of a $10.7M California tax credit. Taylor-Joy plays a young woman who must embrace her darker, criminal side from her younger days one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past.
