The PS Portal can now stream more than 200 games without the need for PS5, making it one step closer to a standalone handheld. PS Portal cloud streaming, which is available to PS Plus Premium members, is still in beta. Sony hasn’t said when it’ll be completely ready to launch, but the functionality is pretty solid even in beta.
List of games available to stream on PS Portal
Since Sony doesn’t do a good job of alerting players to the catalog updates, PS Portal owners have taken it upon themselves to compile a list of compatible games. Over on Reddit, the “complete” list (thus far) boasts at least 212 titles, with Sony continuing to add more.
As a reminder, cloud streaming is limited to select regions. Others, like Australia, currently have PS Plus Deluxe, an alternative to Premium in regions where internet functionality isn’t deemed robust enough (at least by Sony’s standards) for cloud streaming.
We’d also like to remind readers that there’s a very handy fan-made site PSPortal.games that allows players to populate a list of streamable games by country. You can also sign up for updates that alert you whenever a new game is available to stream.
Fingers crossed for a full standalone PlayStation handheld in the next generation!
