New AHSOKA Season 2 Details Tease What's Next in Shin Hati’s Wild Journey

One of Ahsoka’s most intriguing side characters wasn’t a returning favorite from Rebels or Clone Wars, but someone entirely new with Shin Hati, who was played with cold intensity by Ivanna Sakhno. With her piercing stare and unpredictable energy, she carved out her own space in the Star Wars galaxy. Now, thanks to an excerpt from some upcoming Star Wars merchandise, we’re getting a taste of what her future holds in Ahsoka Season 2.We last saw Shin on Peridea as she was left behind by her master Baylan Skoll, who was off on his own cryptic Force-fueled mission. According to the new info: “Shin teams with roving bandits on Peridea and resumes her hunt for Sabine and Ezra. Without Baylan to temper it, Shin’s impulsiveness could lead to challenging scenarios on the far-flung planet where she is stranded.”That impulsiveness has always been part of what makes her compelling. She’s not a Sith. She’s not a Jedi. She’s... something else. The text digs into that ambiguity even more, saying: “Her master Baylan was once a Jedi, but Shin never trained at the Temple. Her background is a mystery. Baylan trains her as if she were a Jedi, but without necessarily adhering to the Jedi Code or wielding the light side of the Force. Shin’s allegiance to anything or anyone beyond her master is unclear — to the audience and likely to herself.”Shin isn’t just on a physical journey across Peridea’s desolate plains; she’s in the middle of a full-blown identity crisis, and with Baylan out of the picture, things could get messy.Speaking of Baylan, following the tragic passing of Ray Stevenson, Game of Thrones’ Rory McCann will be stepping into the role. Stevenson left such an impression with just one season that whoever continues Baylan’s arc will have big boots to fill—both literally and spiritually.Production on Ahsoka Season 2 reportedly kicked off in March. Eman Esfandi, who plays Ezra, shared a celebratory Instagram story reposting a friend’s image of him about to pop champagne, apparently commemorating both his new podcast and the beginning of filming. There’s also buzz that Season 2 will take a different approach visually. Lucasfilm is supposedly going beyond the Volume and leaning into “multiple different film techniques,” potentially giving this season a more expansive, cinematic feel. Then there’s talk that Natalie Portman could appear in some way, through a flashback, Force vision, or something else, but it’s still just a rumor. For now, all eyes are on Star Wars Celebration Japan, which will feature an Ahsoka panel with Dave Filoni and “special guests.” It’s being promoted as a retrospective on Season 1, but there could be some Season 2 hype as well.As for Shin Hati, she was already unpredictable. Now she’s cut loose, untethered from her master, and operating on a planet crawling with secrets. Whatever comes next, one thing’s for sure: she’s going to make some trouble.

Now, thanks to an excerpt from some upcoming Star Wars merchandise, we’re getting a taste of what her future holds in Ahsoka Season 2.

We last saw Shin on Peridea as she was left behind by her master Baylan Skoll, who was off on his own cryptic Force-fueled mission. According to the new info:

“Shin teams with roving bandits on Peridea and resumes her hunt for Sabine and Ezra. Without Baylan to temper it, Shin’s impulsiveness could lead to challenging scenarios on the far-flung planet where she is stranded.”

That impulsiveness has always been part of what makes her compelling. She’s not a Sith. She’s not a Jedi. She’s... something else. The text digs into that ambiguity even more, saying:

“Her master Baylan was once a Jedi, but Shin never trained at the Temple. Her background is a mystery.
