Model/Actriz share “Doves” from new LP & announce fall headline dates ++ free NYC show this week

Model/Actriz have shared a new single from their anticipated second album, Pirouette. “Doves” could almost be a ballad with singer Cole Haden’s soaring vocals, but it’s filtered through the band’s tension-filled, throbbing dancefloor sound.

“Doves was the first song on Pirouette to have fully completed lyrics,” says Haden. “Initially, its story wasn’t entirely clear to me, but it ultimately became the gateway to the rest of the album’s writing. Within the song, I sing from an empty cathedral, but on a broader level, it explores how a place that once felt like a sanctuary can, over time, become a cage. Ultimately, the challenge then lies in finding the courage to step beyond it. The song is about trusting that the effort to break free is worth it.”

Pirouette is out May 2 via True Panther / Dirty Hit and Model/Actriz will be busy on tour starting in May. Before that, they’re playing a FREE show at NYC’s Nightclub 101 on Wednesday (3/26) with Iza Camina and Sh4dows. RSVP here, which does not guarantee entree.

Model/Actriz have also just announced fall headline shows in NYC (Warsaw on 9/12) and LA (Fonda Theatre on 10/3). Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, March 28 at 10 AM local time. The band’s spring tour includes sold-out shows at Tubby’s Kingston on May 20 and Brooklyn’s Good Room on May 22. All dates are listed below.
