Marriott Bonvoy Offers 1500 Points For Linking Accounts With Uber Through April 16, 2025

Marriott Bonvoy and Uber have an ongoing partnership in the US that allows Bonvoy members to earn points for select rides and Uber Eats deliveries, and now there is a new sign-up (linking) offer for 1500 points.

Marriott has now launched a limited-time account-linking offer that allows Bonvoy members who have yet to connect their account with Uber to earn 1500 points for doing so by April 16, 2025.

This promotion is available for customers in the U.S. only, so international members of either platform are unfortunately excluded (unless you change your address to the U.S. and utilize the service there).

This partnership has been going on for quite a while, and rates have since been cut back a little.

These signup offers are around a few times per year to attract new customers, but you can only get these promotional points once for signing up a new account.

Conclusion

As far as this partnership is concerned, you won’t earn any Bonvoy points for Uber’s most basic product, UberX, which is excluded from this offer unless it is a Reserve ride.

If you use Uber or any other ride-hailing service, you should check if they allow the earning of partner points or miles. These are market-specific; for example, you can earn Avios for Uber rides in the UK and with Cabify in Spain.

Also, compare different rideshare providers because there are often big differences in prices. The most prolific one is Grab in Thailand, which became really expensive compared to the cheaper alternative, BOLT.

To participate in the Marriott Uber loyalty initiative, you must link your Marriott Bonvoy™ account to your Uber account associated with a U.S. phone number, and your account must be in good standing. Once you link your accounts, you can earn Marriott Bonvoy Points on Qualifying Transactions. A “Qualifying Transaction” means (i) an UberX ride booked and completed with Uber Reserve (excluding taxes, fees, mandatory additional charges and tips); (ii) a ride taken with UberXL, Uber Black, Uber SUV or Uber Comfort (excluding taxes, fees, mandatory additional charges and tips); (iii) a restaurant category order placed with an eligible merchant through Uber Eats in an amount of $40 USD or more (excluding taxes, fees, service charges, tips and other non-food/beverage charges); or (iv) a grocery category order placed with an eligible merchant through Uber Eats in an amount of $40 USD or more (excluding taxes, fees, service charges, tips and other non-grocery charges), in each case, that occurs in the United States with an eligible and linked account. Some exclusions may apply to ride types, or profiles/trips/orders that are associated with Family, Teen, or Guest accounts, and are in Uber’s sole discretion. By linking your account, you consent to Uber sharing your trip or order details with Marriott Bonvoy. If you no longer wish to participate in this offer, you may unlink your account at any time in the Uber app.

After you link your Marriott Bonvoy account to your Uber account, for all Qualifying Transactions you will receive (as applicable): (i) 3 Marriott Bonvoy Points for each dollar spent before promotions and discounts, excluding taxes, fees, mandatory additional charges and tips on rides with UberXL, Uber Black, Uber SUV and Uber Comfort, (ii) 2 Marriott Bonvoy Points for each dollar spent before promotions and discounts, excluding taxes, fees, mandatory additional charges and tips on UberX Reserve rides, (iii) 2 Marriott Bonvoy Points for each dollar spent before promotions and discounts, excluding taxes, fees, service charges, other non-food/beverage charges, other non-grocery charges, and tips on eligible restaurant or grocery category orders of $40 USD or more to an eligible Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, or Element locations, and (iv)1 Marriott Bonvoy Point for each dollar spent before promotions and discounts, excluding taxes, fees, service charges, other non-food/beverage charges, other non-grocery charges, and tips on restaurant and grocery category orders made using Uber Eats.

After you link your Marriott Bonvoy account to your Uber account, if such Uber account includes a valid and qualifying annual Uber One subscription, your Marriott Bonvoy account will be eligible for Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status, subject to any applicable Marriott Bonvoy terms.

In addition to these terms, you are subject to any terms and conditions shown upon enrollment, and the Uber Terms of Use and the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules. Uber and Marriott International reserve the right to change or terminate the Marriott Uber loyalty initiative, change the number of Marriott Bonvoy Points that you may earn and the activities for which you may earn Marriott Bonvoy Points at any time and in their sole discretion.
