The first weekend of Coachella 2025 ran from Friday (4/11) through Sunday (4/13) at Indio, CA’s Empire Polo Club, and as usual, lots of artists had special sets, special guests, and other surprises for the occasion. Lady Gaga headlined Friday, which also featured sets from The Go-Go’s (who brought out Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong), Three 6 Mafia (who brought out Travis Barker, Machine Gun Kelly, and Project Pat), A.G. Cook (who brought out Danny Brown), Speed, Missy Elliott, GloRilla, Mustard (who brought out Tyga, 2 Chainz, YG, Big Sean, Roddy Ricch, and Ella Mai), The Marías, Tyla (who brought out Becky G), Marina, Kneecap (who led the crowd in a chant against former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and called for freedom for Palestine), julie, TOPS, Glixen, Miike Snow, Eyedress, Ravyn Lenae, and more.

Green Day headlined Saturday, which also had Travis Scott (whose “Designs the Desert” billing included his “The Village by Cactus Jack” activation), Charli XCX (who was joined by Lorde, Billie Eilish, and Troye Sivan), Misfits, Weezer (who covered Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”), Jimmy Eat World, Clairo (who was introduced by Bernie Sanders and who reactivated Shelly, her band with Claud, Josh Mehling, and Noa Frances Getzug, for a song), Beth Gibbons (who performed Portishead’s “Glory Box” solo for the second time ever), Japanese Breakfast (who covered Gorillaz’ “On Melancholy Hill” with Ginger Root), LA Phil and Gustavo Dudamel (who were joined by Laufey, Maren Morris, Becky G, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, and LL Cool J), Yo Gabba Gabba! (who brought out Miyavi, Flava Flav, Thundercat, Portugal. The Man, Paul Williams, and Duo the Duolingo owl, among others), and more.

Post Malone closed things out on Sunday, which also had Circle Jerks, Megan Thee Stallion (who had Queen Latifah, Victoria Monet and Ciara join her), Kraftwerk, Amyl & the Sniffers, Shaboozey, BigXthaPlug, Junior H (who brought out Peso Pluma), Zedd (who brought out John Mayer, Maren Morris, Bea Biller, Julia Michaels, and Elley Duhé), Ginger Root, Wisp, Bob Vylan, Arca (who brought out Addison Rae), Amaarae, Basement Jaxx, Fcukers, Ty Dolla $ign, Jennie (who brought out Kali Uchis), and more.
