After teaming up with Dr. Dre on his last album, Missionary, Snoop Dogg returns with a new project -- this time stepping into the world of gospel. Titled Altar Call, the 21-track album is set to arrive via Death Row Records as a deeply personal tribute to his late mother, Beverly Tate, who passed away in 2021. The release date carries special significance, landing on what would have been Beverly Tate’s birthday. The album artwork features a photo of her, further underscoring the project's emotional depth.In a recent interview with Okayplayer, Snoop reflected on his mother’s lasting impact: “The spirit of my mother will forever live within me. This album is a reflection of what she has taught me -- to use my voice and my platform to spread love and heal the world. Just another chapter out of the Bible of Love.”The album boasts a star-studded and spiritually rooted lineup of collaborators, including Jamie Foxx, Robert Glasper, Denaun Porter, Jazze Pha, Charlie Bereal, Jane Handcock, October London and the Death Row Mass Choir.
