Montana and KIMPOP Celebrate Color With Limited Edition Pieces

As the shift to maximalism continues, the need for personality to show through decor flourishes across multiple industries. Montana Furniture and KIMPOP are ready to celebrate this trend beyond a trend, collaborating on a limited-edition range of furniture created to bring out the bright and the bold in all of us. Six pieces, each designed to light up a room, embody the functionality and wit we’ve come to expect of Montana, with the vibrancy and tact of design duo KIMPOP. No longer relegated to a kid’s bedroom, color is revered in the KIMPOP Limited Editions collection, a tome from which we still have much to learn. The KIMPOP Limited Editions collection for Montana includes the DASH floating bedside table, CARRY dresser, SHELFIE mirror, DREAM nightstand, SHOW bookcase, and BOX rolling storage.

KIMPOP DASH detail

Cheeky details make this collection a delight for the eyes. The delicate interactions of the planes create elegant transitions, specific fillets and bezels creating attractive shadows. A slight space exists directly between the leg and the body of the KIMPOP CARRY and the KIMPOP DREAM, creating a weightlessness of form not usually associated with a block of cabinetry. This collaboration displays lightness in many forms, the playful nature of the color scheme contributing to the softness of the various vertices. Lightness of feeling as well, different panels presenting different colors, all picked by KIMPOP, as one moves about each design. Surprisingly sophisticated, each piece holds its own among eclectic collections of furniture, with a quality and durability that will make this a favorite for years.
