LAKE prep 10th album, announce 2025 tour, share new version of “No Wonder I”

Pacific Northwest indiepop vets LAKE will release their new album Bucolic Gone on March 7 via Don Giovanni. It’s their 10th album, first in five years, and first for Don Giovanni. The band have just shared the gentle and very pretty new single “No Wonder I,” which was originally on their 2013 album Circular Doorway and was prominently featured in an episode of Adventure Time.

The band say: “After playing the song live over the years, ‘No Wonder I’ has morphed into a breezy surf-rock, kind of 80’s epic, and we wanted to record it again to capture that.” You can watch the charming video for this new version below.

LAKE have also announced a North American tour which happens in April and May and hits most major US and Canadian cities, including their first Northeast run in more than a decade. The Brooklyn stop is at Baby’s All Right on April 26. All dates are below.
