Jonathan Majors Says He Wants MCU Return

Jonathan Majors is on the road to recovery tour with the release of his bodybuilding drama Magazine Dreams. In an attempt to clean up his tarnished image following his 2023 assault conviction, the actor is making press rounds to talk about hopes for the future. Among them is a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kang the Conqueror as he revealed to Entertainment Weekly.

“The version of me that would come back to those places, though, would be different. I don’t think anything different would happen between ‘action’ and ‘cut.’ That’s why I got the job. But there would be something different about it if I were to come back, and I would like that. But as I said, it’s not in my control.”

Of course, the decision for Majors’ MCU return is that of Disney and not the actor’s call. The actor’s recent PR run is full of answering softball questions while subtly asking the public to sympathize with his bad luck. Aside from being seen in public with his new wife, there has been very little evidence showing that Majors has worked through his past issues to earn forgiveness.

Adding to Majors’ woes is the release of leaked audio by Rolling Stone where he admits to strangling then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. That along with Magazine Dreams’ underwhelming box office opening has only dampened any Majors comeback plans.

It remains to be seen how Avengers: Doomsday will address the Council of Kang tease from the mid-credits of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. For now, Marvel Studios has no interest in bringing Majors back as they are all in with Robert Downey, Jr. as the Multiverse Saga’s big bad in Doctor Doom.
