‘Invoking Scream’ – Found Footage Movie ‘Invoking Yell’ Getting a Sequel

The world of Chilean found footage horror movie Invoking Yell from director Patricio Valladares will expand with a sequel, Fangoria exclusively reports this week.

Welcome Villain Films released the ’90s set found footage horror movie Invoking Yell this past September. The upcoming sequel will be titled Invoking Scream.

Fangoria previews that Invoking Scream will “explore the dark intersections of supernatural horror and extreme music, this time centering on a death metal band set in the late 2000s.”

The site confirms that Patricio Valladares will return to direct the late 2000s-set sequel, which is said to preserve “the raw and visceral aesthetic that defined the first film.”

Invoking Yell followed “a trio of metalhead twenty-something girls who venture into the woods to shoot the demo tape for their black metal band, Invoking Yell.

“However, things take a sinister turn as they document their disturbing and unorthodox process of recording paranormal phenomena to be used in the album’s final track.”

María Jesús Marcone, Macarena Carrere, and Andrea Ozuljevich star in Invoking Yell. Fangoria notes in today’s report that María Jesús Marcone will return for Invoking Scream.
