‘Gravelord’ Spin-off Horde Mode Shooter ‘Hordelord’ Announced [Trailer]

With the arena shooter Gravelord out in Early Access now, developers Fatbot Games and s. r. o. have announced a spin-off title in Hordelord, a “hi-octane arena mobility shooter” that focuses on horde & endless modes, battling endless waves of foes. As with Gravelord, Hordelord will be coming to PC via Steam, and will also be receiving a demo.

Hordelord sees you once again assume the role of Queedo the Gravedigger, who this time around must undergo trials to prove to Death himself that he is worthy of being employed as a gravedigger. As before, Queedo is armed his trusty magical shovel, Tarot Cards to boost his power level and combat options, as well as a slate of weapon upgrades to unlock additional fire modes and synergies to plow through the dead.

Sporting “tight gunplay, satisfying kills, and meaningful upgrades,” the game has you either beating down a finite number of increasingly difficult waves of enemies in Horde Mode, or trying to survive for as long as possible against endless waves of enemies in Hordelord‘s Endless Mode.

Reminiscent of Quake III Arena, you’ll be zipping around the levels using multi-jump boots, spectral shovel, and various environmental jumpers. All the while, you can get rewarded for your playstyle by performing spectacular kills or hard-to-achieve feats. No word yet on when the demo for Hordelord will drop.
