It’s official, a third game in the “Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine” series is in development following the major success of “Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2” in September last year. Nintendo Switch 2
Multiple analysts are predicting that the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will cost at least $400 in the U.S. at launch – over $100 more than the original – with one suggesting a $499 price is not unexpected. Split Fiction
“It Takes Two” and “A Way Out” creators Hazelight Studios’ newest co-op split-screen only game – “Split Fiction” – sold one million copies in 24 hours and more than two million copies in the first week since its March 6th release. Blending fantasy and science fiction, the game follows a pair of authors trapped in the worlds they wrote.
Like with the Game of the Year-winning “It Takes Two,” the game can only be played with two people and the gameplay mechanics involve split-screen combat and platforming challenges with both players needing to work together to make it work. [Source: Instagram]
Star Wars: Hunters
Less than one year after launch, Zynga has announced thay its free-to-play arena shooter “Star Wars: Hunters” will shut down in several months – namely October 1st when the fifth season will end.
The final content update on all platforms will be on April 15th. The game launched to very mixed reviews and is currently available on PC, Mobile, and Nintendo Switch. [Source: Nintendo Life]
Respawn’s Star Wars
A “Star Wars”-set, turn-based tactics game currently being developed by “Jedi: Fallen Order” studio Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, will be revealed on April 19th at a panel during the Star Wars Celebration event. [Source: Lucasfilm Games]
Xbox
Xbox has announced Copilot for Gaming, a new AI-powered ‘personalized gaming companion’. The digital assistant helps players play faster, sharpen skills with coaching, and enjoy a more social gaming experience along with providing in-game assistance. [Source: Xbox.com]
