Full Trailer: HBO’s “The Last of Us” Season 2

Following the first teaser in September and the date reveal in January, HBO has finally revealed the trailer for the second season of its TV series adaptation of the acclaimed video game series “The Last of Us”.

The new season will be based on the first part of “The Last of Us Part II” game that hit PS5 in 2020 and is coming to PC on April 3rd. That game had a storytelling structure which jumped around in time, this seems to follow a more linear narrative – focusing on adapting the Jackson/Day 1 parts of the game.

The second season will explore the ramifications of the actions of Joel (Pedro Pascal) in the first season as he and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) have made new lives for themselves in Jackson. Those actions have consequences that are about to change their lives forever.

The introduction of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), a key character who will impact Joel and Ellie’s lives in unimaginable ways, will make this possible. As with last season, the new one is expected to expand out the world with new characters and subplots.

Gabriel Luna, Rutina Wesley, Young Manzino, Isabela Merced, Jeffrey Isaac, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Danny Ramirez, Joe Pantoliano and Catherine O’Hara co-star in the new run.

The seven-episode second season is slated to premiere April 13th and, should it run continuously, is expected to wrap its run by around May 25th.
