FOX Animated Series Get Four More Seasons

FOX has ordered four more seasons each of it core trio of 20th Television Animation series – “The Simpsons,” “Family Guy” and “Bob’s Burgers”.

The deal locks in all the shows through the remaining years of the 2020s – taking all the shows through to the 2028-29 season – and marks a huge commitment on the part of the network.

Fox has also officially announced “American Dad!” will return to the network in 2025-26 and is set to get a four-season order as well.

By the eend of the order, “The Simpsons” will hit a 40th season and around 900 episodes, “Family Guy” will get a 27th season, “American Dad!” will get a 23rd season and “Bob’s Burgers” will get a 19th season.

Marci Proietto, head of 20th Television Animation says:

“This historic four-season order from our longtime partners at Fox is truly monumental for these iconic animated series. We are so proud that these legendary shows will continue for hundreds of more episodes, allowing new and longstanding fans to watch, rewatch and experience more of The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad and Bob’s Burgers for years to come.”

FOX’s streaming deal with Hulu, which was renewed late last year, has reportedly played a key role in securing the multiseason renewals.

All but “The Simpsons” are available to stream on the platform and regularly show up on Nielsen’s weekly top 10 streaming rankings. “The Simpsons” streams on Disney+ and also occasionally pops into that Top 10.
