Fortnite Festival Kicking Off Star Wars Season With The Original Jabba's Palace Song

To absolutely no one's surprise, Fortnite Festival's weekly drop of songs is looking very Star Wars-y this week. Epic Games is marking the start of Fortnite's first ever Star Wars season by offering a pair of new jam tracks that come straight from the original Star Wars trilogy soundtrack composed by John Williams: "The Imperial March," and "Lapti Nek (Jabba's Palace)." Both of these will be available in the item shop when Star Wars season launches on Friday. It's possible one or both of the songs will be part of an instrument bundle like the Cantina Band song that dropped last year.Anybody who's watched much Star Wars should be well familiar with "The Imperial March," Darth Vader's theme from The Empire Strikes Back which is just as iconic as the franchise's main theme. "Lapti Nek," meanwhile, is the song played by the blue elephant man Max Rebo and his band in Return of the Jedi. We're talking the original version here, not the special edition which added a CGI dance number and a completely new song. This is the real one. This does appear to be the only new drop of songs in the item shop this week--there haven't been any announcements or leaks about any other licensed tracks this week. There is, however, a leak about battle pass songs. According to dataminers, there will be three Star Wars-inspired jam tracks included with the Star Wars battle pass: "Rebel's Run," "The Dark Side," and "Where My Wookiees At?". These will all be new songs with a Star wars tinge, rather than songs from Star Wars movies or shows.Continue Reading at GameSpot
