First Look at Tony Todd in ‘Final Destination Bloodlines’

The late horror legend Tony Todd will be making his final big screen appearance in Final Destination Bloodlines, playing recurring franchise character William Bludworth for the final time. The first image of Tony Todd’s bittersweet return was shared by Blavity today.

Tony Todd played the enigmatic mortician William Bludworth in Final Destination, Final Destination 2, and Final Destination 5. Check out your first look at his return above.

It was recently rumored that Bloodlines would be diving into Bludworth’s backstory, including a flashback to his childhood, but we’ll have to wait a couple months to find out.

A legend in the world of horror and beyond, Tony Todd passed away at the age of 69 in November of last year. The prolific actor amassed more than 240 film and TV credits spanning his four decade career, with notable credits including Platoon, Candyman, The Rock, Night of the Living Dead (1990), Wishmaster, The Crow, Hatchet, and the list goes on and on. 

Final Destination Bloodlines will bring the franchise back to theaters on May 16, 2025.

Expect the brand new official trailer tomorrow, March 25. 

The newest chapter in New Line Cinema’s hit franchise is said to “take audiences back to the very beginning.” Here’s the official synopsis for Final Destination Bloodlines:

Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.

Final Destination Bloodlines stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, and Anna Lore, with Brec Bassinger.

The film is directed by Adam Stein & Zach Lipovsky.
