Long running awards site Gold Derby have announced their final predictions for this year’s Academy Awards ceremony.
The list is collated from awards votes by more than 11,200 people including experts polled from major media outlets and editors who cover awards year-round. The predictions cover all 23 categories.
At present “Anora” is the favorite to win Best Picture with odds of 5/1 compared with “Conclave” at 6/1 and “The Brutalist” at 7/1. The film also is a clear frontrunner for original screenplay and likely director for Sean Baker.
Best acting nods are predicted for Adrien Brody, Demi Moore, Kieran Culkin and Zoe Saldana. “The Wild Robot” is tipped for best animated film, “No Other Land” for best documentary, and “I’m Still Here” for best international film.
“Conclave” is predicted to take adapted screenplay and editing, “The Brutalist” cinematography and score, “Wicked” costumes and production design, “Dune: Part Two” best VFX and sound, “The Substance” best make-up, and “Emilia Perez” best song.
The predictions come as it has been revealed Harrison Ford has dropped out of presenting at this year’s ceremony following a diagnosis of a shingles infection.
The Oscars take place tomorrow night and for the first time will be simulcast on a streaming service – Hulu.
