Expanding upon the narrative she built in her 2022 LP Preacher's Daughter, the next album will serve as a prequel to the project that contained popular songs like "Strangers" and "American Teenager."The artist kicked off the morning by teasing eerie imagery from her forthcoming project, including photographs taken by Silken Weinberg. Contrary to Preacher's Daughter, which focussed on Cain's character, the new album centers on Willoughby Tucker, her fictional boyfriend. In the dark, faded photos Cain and Tucker sit across from each other in an open field, and in the album cover, the back of Tucker's head is framed by an antique-style portrait.
