Bushmills travel retail-exclusive range comes to key Indian airports

INDIA. Proximo Spirits has launched its updated Bushmills travel retail-exclusive range with partner Monika Alcobev in the India duty-free market.

Proximo Spirits said it has earmarked India as a key growth target for the Irish whiskey brand and has introduced the latest expressions with Hyderabad Duty Free, Delhi Duty Free and Ospree Duty Free.

The India campaign includes travel retail-exclusives Bushmills 21 Year Old, Bushmills 15 Year Old and Bushmills 10 Year Old, all bottled at 46% ABV. Two further lines exclusive to travel retail —Bushmills Black Bush 80/20 and Bushmills 12 Year Old — will soon be available in these locations.

Alongside the unveiling of the channel-exclusive Bushmills range at Hyderabad and Mumbai airports, an exclusive tasting event in partnership with Delhi Duty Free gave attendees the opportunity to experience the 10 Year Old and 15 Year Old travel retail expressions.

Tasting notes

• Bushmills 10 Year Old: Aged for ten years in bourbon and sherry casks, then finished in Oloroso sherry butts from Paez-Morilla bodega, Spain, for a “rich, aromatic profile”.
• Bushmills 15 Year Old: A marriage of single malt finished in 15 year old ex- bourbon first and second fill American oak casks matured on the County Antrim coast. It is bottled at 46% ABV, and features a “sweet, nutty and complex flavour profile”.
• Bushmills 21 Year Old: Aged 18 years in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, then finished for three years in first-fill Marsala casks, delivering a “luxurious and complex” flavour.
