Airport Dimensions secures 45% stake in Blue Sky Group to boost Asia Pacific presence
The partnership will debut with the opening of a lounge at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport later this year.

INDONESIA. Global airport lounge and travel experience company Airport Dimensions has acquired a 45% stake in PT Bumi Liputan Angkasa, a subsidiary of Indonesia’s Blue Sky Group, as part of its strategic expansion in the region.
The acquisition marks a key step in reinforcing the company’s presence in the world’s second-fastest-growing aviation market.
The partnership will debut with the opening of a lounge at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport later this year, aiming to enhance the passenger experience in the region.
Designed to elevate Indonesia’s airport hospitality services, the partnership will combine the partners’ industry expertise.
Blue Sky Lounge already holds a strong market presence, with premium lounges at major airports including Soekarno-Hatta International in Jakarta, Ngurah Rai International in Bali and Juanda International in Surabaya.
The strategic investment allows Airport Dimensions to extend its regional footprint, adding 11 airport lounges to its network with plans for further growth under the new partnership.
These lounges are located across major regions and airports in the country, such as Jakarta (terminals 1, 2 and 3), Balikpapan, Samarinda, Batam, Bali, Pontianak, Palembang, Pekanbaru and Surabaya.
The acquisition also builds on the company’s recent successful expansion into other markets in the region, including Hong Kong with Kyra Lounge and Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club and a flagship partnership with SASCO in Vietnam.
Each partnership strengthens Airport Dimensions’ status in delivering tailored airport experiences, merging local knowledge with global standards, the company said.
It also highlighted Indonesia’s rapidly growing aviation sector, fuelled by rising tourism and foreign investment, positioning it as a key market in APAC.
Airport Dimensions President EMEA and APAC Errol McGlothan said, “Indonesia represents an incredibly dynamic market, and we are thrilled to partner with Blue Sky Lounge to bring our global expertise to this rapidly growing aviation network. As the second-fastest-growing aviation market in the world, Indonesia offers immense opportunities.
“Airport Dimensions is committed to delivering world-class operational expertise to support Indonesia’s swift growth as a key regional hub for business and tourism. Through this partnership, global best practices will be seamlessly integrated with local expertise to meet the ever-evolving needs of travellers.
“We are incredibly excited to have a new lounge underway in Makassar. This project signifies our commitment to elevating the passenger experience and we look forward to seeing how this will transform the airport lounge experience in the region.”
Blue Sky Group President Director Linan Kurniahu added, “We’re thrilled to be able to partner with one of the largest Airport Lounge networks in the world. This marks a significant milestone in our over 50 years of journey in this hospitality industry in the country. We hope to bring greater travel experience into all airports throughout Indonesia, and we hope that through this partnership we can expand our presence internationally.”
Part of the Collinson Group, Airport Dimensions attracts strong footfall through its lounges, popular with Priority Pass and LoungeKey members. The Indonesian locations will join the company’s established network at major airports in locations such as Dubai, Hong Kong, London, New York, Boston, Dallas and San Francisco.
