Accor, IndiGo, and its InterGlobe parent have signed various agreements in India for Accor ALL and IndiGo partnership and development of Accor brands in India under a new entity with InterGlobe.

The Accor and IndiGo partnership appears to be very similar to what Accor already has in place with several airlines, such as Qatar Airways, Air France—KLM, Qantas, and Azul. You can probably earn both miles and points and have a two-way transfer option between programs.

You can access Accor here.

The Accor and InterGlobe partnership involves developing hotels under Accor brands, including Ennismore, in India through “an autonomous hospitality platform” (whatever that means). The goal is to have 300 hotels under Accor brands in India by 2030.

Accor and InterGlobe will become shareholders of Treebo, which will develop ibis and Mercure hotels in India under a master license agreement.

Conclusion

IndiGo is an Indian low-cost carrier, or at least was, that operates more than 400 planes and has hundreds of Airbus planes on order.

There have been many Indian airlines that have come and gone over the past 14 years that we have covered here on LoyaltyLobby, including Kingfisher and Jet Airways.

I have started to see more of these IndiGo planes on the tarmac at airports outside of India, so they must be expanding their international services.
