Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) Discovery program members collect Discovery Dollars (D$) that they should use to pay folio expenses while staying at one of the GHA participating hotels.

Many members have faced the issue of being unable to use them for prepaid rates; hence, they need to book a higher rate to redeem D$.

You can access GHA’s page to pay with points here.

Some GHA-participating brands now allow you to use D$ during the booking process. The minimum part payment is D$10.

The goal must be to allow GHA Discovery members to use their earned D$ for stays at ALL participating hotels, not just the ones above.

We have had some comments from readers who have faced difficulties using them, as some properties have only had prepaid rates available for bookings through GHA channels.

This wouldn’t be a huge issue, but some of the promotional D$ expire quite soon after they are earned, making using them problematic.
