The Leeds band are scheduled to play numerous UK and European festivals this summer including Isle Of Wight, Bearded Theory, Live At Leeds: In The Park, Green Man and Pukkelpop.
They’ll also play a big bill-topping gig at Queen’s Park Arena in Glasgow as part of the Big Nights Out 2025 series.
To warm up for the forthcoming appearances, Yard Act will head to the seaside for their own concert in Blackpool, Lancashire on Wednesday May 21.
“So, yeah… it must’ve been 2025… and we um… we didn’t often go to Blackpool to play gigs… usually we just went once to support Foals at the Empress Ballroom,” said frontman James Smith.
“But for some reason this year we’d booked a warm-up gig at Blackpool Tower um…”
Tickets for the upcoming Blackpool Tower show go on general sale at 10am GMT this Friday (March 28) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Alternatively, fans can access a pre-sale at the same time on Wednesday (26) by signing up here.

Yard Act released their second and latest studio album, ‘Where’s My Utopia?’, in March 2024.
In a four-star review, NME said the project “marks an outlandish yet assertive second chapter for Yard Act, going toe-to-toe with the peculiar world that we find ourselves in”.
Speaking to NME about the record in October 2023, Smith explained that it was “about hope and perseverance”.
“A lot of what we’ve always done has been rooted in where society is at and a comment on the times, but it’s more universal,” he continued. “Human beings have always been driven by our ambitions.
“In a world where there’s currently supermarkets where you can get food from and houses you can live in, once we’ve got the basics covered our minds aspire for other things our minds think are important because we’re not content in just being animals.”
Yard Act embarked on a UK and European tour last year in support of the album. The trek included a show at the Eventim Apollo in London. In a four-star review of that performance, NME praised the band’s “showmanship for a boisterous tour finale”.
