Underworld move NYC show to Kings Theatre as Brooklyn Mirage opening is delayed again

Well this is a bummer. UK electronic greats Underworld were set to begin their US tour on Thursday (5/15) at NYC’s Brooklyn Mirage, but as the venue is still facing opening delays, the show has now been moved to Kings Theatre the same night.

Tickets for Brooklyn Mirage will NOT transfer over and tickets to Kings are on sale now. As great a venue as Kings Theatre is, it’s stately grandeur and mostly reserved seating might not be the first place you’d think of to lose yourself to rave classics “Born Slippy” or “Jumbo.” For this show, however, all sections of the venue will be general admission and reasonably priced, but you must choose which section you want to be in: pit ($42.70 all in), orchestra ($42.70), or mezzanine ($36.60). Tickets for Brooklyn Mirage were originally $83.

Underworld say, “This is the only option available to us due to the production of our show, venue availability, and the number of people attending. But we WANT to dance with you. We WILL dance together. We have a show that you will love and we want to share it.”

They add, “Any space is a rave when we’re together in the smoke and the lights.”

After Brooklyn, Underworld’s tour hits Chicago, Seattle, Portland and San Francisco before wrapping up at Lightning in a Bottle fest in Buena Vista Lake, CA. All dates are below.

As for Brooklyn Mirage, after cancelling their reopening weekend on May 1-3, they also postponed their May 9 Loud Luxury show and moved Cloonee’s day and night shows on May 10 to Brooklyn Storehouse. About the next scheduled show, The Martinez Brothers on May 16, there’s been no word yet; stay tuned.
