Two More Set For “Masters of the Universe”

“Deadpool” and “Greenland” star Morena Baccarin has scored the role of The Sorceress while “Vikings” and “Alpha” actor Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson has scored the role of Malcolm/Fisto in the live-action “Masters of the Universe” movie at Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel.
They join a quickly filling out cast that currently includes Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-At-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn and Jared Leto as Skeletor. Also onboard are Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops.
Travis Knight is directing the film from a script by Chris Butler with first draft by David Callaham, and Aaron and Adam Nee. Story specifics are under wraps.
The film is based on the classic 1980s toy line and early 1980s cartoon series. In the seris, Castle Grayskull is the target of numerous attacks by Skeletor, Hordak and the Snake Men, all of whom believe the secrets inside will allow them to conquer the mystical land of Eternia and then the entire universe. The castle is instrumental in the transformation of He-Man.
The Sorceress watches over Castle Grayskull, guarding the secrets and wisdom therein and is the mother of Teela. She’s very powerful, but can only use her abilities when confined in the castle. When outside, she transforms into the falcon Zoar who communicates telepathically with trusted friends.
Fisto is a muscular villain who eventually becomes a hero and gets his name from his huge, mailed fist. He also has a talent for trapping and training wild animals>
