‘The Sinking City Remastered’ Announced Along With a Chance for Your Voice to Be In ‘The Sinking City 2’ [Trailer]

With the Kickstarter for The Sinking City 2 nearing its end (and having smashed its initial goal several times over), Frogwares has announced that they’re returning to the first game with a new remaster. Best of all, The Sinking City Remastered will be free for all existing owners of the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series versions of the game.

Originally released in June 2019 and developed on Unreal Engine 4, the remaster is being built in Unreal Engine 5 with “an upgraded visual experience” alongside some requested quality-of-life features. The core additions to the remaster include:

• Game fully relit in Unreal Engine 5
• Enhanced locations with additional levels of detail and objects
• 4K textures and improved reflections
• Addition of a Photo Mode
• Support for DLSS, FSR and TSR upscaling

The announcement of The Sinking City Remastered comes as part of the Kickstarter campaign for The Sinking City 2, which has exceeded its initial goal four times over, with just four days left in the campaign. Speaking (no pun intended) of which, Frogwares has also launched an initiative to allow you the chance to have your voice included in The Sinking City 2, along with your name in the credits. Your voice will be part of a choir chanting praises to one of the Eldritch gods of time, Yog-Sothoth, featured in the game.

So, how do you enter? Simply submit a voice recording of yourself saying “YES” in any way you choose – a whisper, growl, shout, or anything else – fill out a quick form, and submit your file here. 100 randomly selected entries will be picked to be included in the game, with one lucky random submission will also win a free copy of the Collector’s Edition of The Sinking City 2, which is normally only available in a limited amount to Kickstarter backers.

The submission deadline for the contest is April 3 at 6:00 a.m. ET. The Sinking City 2 is currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
