Teaser: “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” S3

The first footage from the upcoming third season of Paramount+ series “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” has arrived and teases several themed episodes for the ten-episode new run.

In season three we reconnect with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, still under the command of Captain Pike, as they face a conclusion to their harrowing encounter with the Gorn.

But new life and civilizations await, including a villain that will test the grit and resolve of the crew. New adventures of “faith, duty, romance, comedy and mystery with varying genres never before seen on any other Star Trek.”

Last season saw genre dabbling that included a musical episode and a courtroom drama. The new run appears to include a Christie-esque murder mystery, a romantic comedy, and a documentary-style episode.

Season three features guest stars Rhys Darby, Patton Oswalt, Cillian O’Sullivan, and Melanie Scrofano joining returnees Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, Martin Quinn, Carol Kane and Paul Wesley.
