Stevie Wonder to headline London’s BST Hyde Park 2025

Stevie Wonder has been announced as the final headliner for London’s BST Hyde Park 2025. Find all the details below.

Marking his third appearance at the festival, the soul legend will take to the Great Oak stage on July 12 as part of his run of ‘LOVE, LIGHT & SONG’ UK dates, with support acts to be announced later.

The ‘Superstition’ singer is one of the best-selling artists of all time, having produced a slew of hits across his career and garnered 25 Grammy Awards, as well as being inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Wonder joins the previously announced BST Hyde Park 2025 headliners Neil Young, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Zach Bryan, Noah Kahan and Jeff Lynne’s ELO.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am GMT this Friday (March 21) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Alternatively, Amex customers can access a pre-sale from the same time today (Monday March 17).

News of his Hyde Park headline show follows last year’s surprise announcement of the ‘Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart’ US tour, so-called after Wonder’s 2024 single by the same name, the release of which marked his first new song in four years.

The track found Wonder reflecting on a nation torn apart by strife, miscommunication and sorrow as he sings: “Children marching on the boulevard / Tears are streaming down their face / The tension in the air is so bizarre / Love is gone without a trace.”

The musician’s political activism extends beyond his songwriting, having been an instrumental force behind the campaign to make Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday a federal holiday in the United States in the ’80s. Likewise, he has previously been named a United Nations Messenger of Peace, and in 2014, was honoured with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

In other news, Wonder recently joined John Legend and Sheila E to perform at Democratic National Convention (DNC) last .

Showing his support for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, he told the crowd in a speech before performing his song, ‘Higher Ground’: “We must keep on keeping on until we are truly a united people of these United States and then we will reach a higher ground.”

The year prior, he featured on The Rolling Stones’ ‘Sweet Sounds Of Heaven‘ alongside Lady Gaga. More recently, he played harmonica on Beyoncé‘s ‘Jolene’ cover.
