Marvel and DC Are Crossing Over Again for the First Time in 20 Years
For the first time in over two decades, Marvel and DC are joining forces again. After years of speculation and a long history of competition-turned-collaboration, the two comic book giants are set to release a pair of new crossover one-shots later this year. The news broke at the recent ComicsPRO event in California, where Marvel Comics editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski and DC Comics editor-in-chief Marie Javins shared the news. The conversation started with a nod to last year’s bestselling DC Versus Marvel Omnibus and DC/Marvel: The Amalgam Age Omnibus, which collected past Marvel/DC crossovers in one place. But as it turns out, those books weren’t just a nostalgia trip, they were a prelude.Reflecting on the experience of putting those omnibuses together, Cebulski hinted at something more: "We really enjoyed working together. This was a really good project to have done, but I think there's another white whale that we got," he said.Javins responded, saying: "I'm trying to figure out what you could possibly be talking about."And then came the moment that set the comic book world buzzing. Cebulski put the question out in the open: "Another crossover, a modern crossover, are you up for it?" The answer was a resounding yes. While details are still under wraps and there are no official creative teams or no confirmed characters, we do know that two issues are coming. One titled Marvel/DC, which will be published by Marvel, and the other titled DC/Marvel, which will be published by, of course, DC.Both comic books are expected to drop in 2025.Via: GamesRadar+
