Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have pushed back the next “Spider-Man” film by a week.

Originally slated for July 24th 2026, the film is now due to open July 31st 2026. the movie gets it out of the way of Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” which opens on July 16th – a week before Spidey was originally slated to open.

Both films star Tom Holland with the actor likely to do a press blitz to promote both films throughout July next year.

Destin Daniel Cretton is helming the fourth “Spider-Man” which is currently untitled while Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna penned the script.

Production is underway on Nolan’s “The Odyssey” which Holland will film throughout the first half of this year before he segues into working on “Spider-Man 4” in the back half of 2025. He’s also rumored to be filming scenes for “Avengers: Doomsday” somewhere in there.

The question is if the fourth “Spider-Man” film will be finished in time for Summer 2026 as timing-wise the project will be cutting it extremely close to make its planned release date.
