Netflix has released the official trailer for its screwball murder mystery series “The Residence” which is slated to premiere its entire eight episode run on the streamer on March 20th.

Set in the White House’s upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs, Uzo Aduba stars as eccentric detective Uzo Aduba Cordelia Cupp, who arrives on the premises to solve the murder of the building’s head of staff during a disastrous State Dinner.

As the investigation unfolds across 132 rooms and 157 potential suspects, the interpersonal conflicts between the staff and the officials start to emerge.

The series hails from creator, showrunner, writer, and executive producer Paul William Davies and is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. The story is based on the Kate Andersen Brower book of the same name.

Randall Park co-stars as FBI Special Agent Edwin Park who aids Cupp in her investigation. Giancarlo Esposito plays the dead head of staff, the actor replacing Andre Braugher who passed away partway through production.

Also starring are Paul Fitzgerald as the U.S. President and Barrett Foa as the First Husband, Julian McMahon as the Australian Prime Minister, and the likes of Ken Marino, Jason Lee, Jane Curtin, Bronson Pinchot, Spencer Garrett , Molly Griggs, Susan Kelechi Watson, Al Franken, Mary Wiseman, Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Kylie Minogue as herself.
