In the age of streaming bundles, Peacock may be the most attractive asset according to new data from Fandom. The world’s largest fan platform leveraged its first-party data, called FanDNA, from its 350 million monthly visitors to take a deeper dive into the individual streaming services and TheWrap can exclusively reveal those findings first.

Fandom’s data, based on site visitation and how popular series overindex with fans across 300 subgenres, suggest Peacock’s diverse and distinct library of reality programming, medical and crime procedural dramas and combat sports makes it the best compliment to other existing streamers.

Fandom users who are fans of Peacock content are 15x more likely to be fans of cop dramas than other Fandom users, 13x more likely to be fans of police procedurals, 12x more likely to be fans of suspense mysteries, 8x more likely to be fans of CG animation and 7x more likely to be fans of combat sports.

Home to Bravo reality shows and NBC staples like “Law & Order” and the “One Chicago” franchise, Fandom’s data suggest it would make an ideal partner – either through acquisition or bundling – with Disney+/Hulu and Netflix.

Fandom’s data also drill down how Disney+/Hulu’s top-performing subgenres—such as superhero sci-fi, space sci-fi, sitcoms, and animated series—would be diversified by Peacock’s strengths in reality television, procedural dramas, and sports entertainment.

“Our taxonomy is pretty robust, so we’re able to see a lot of genres and subgenres,” Fandom’s VP of Research & Analytics Strategy Tamar Rimmon told TheWrap of how Fandom hit upon the idea to try and quantify the best bundling partners in streaming. “So we started getting curious, if we were to analyze this scientifically, where would we see the most opportunities for creating these diverse libraries by combining different streaming services that have strengths in different subgenres?”

Rimmon said this study is one of hopefully more on the horizon as Fandom continues to leverage its AI-powered data capabilities.
