Hermanos Gutiérrez Set to Open Seattle’s Newest Concert Series Oodalalee

Legendary Seattle rock club The Crocodile is opening its new waterfront concert series with the spooky guitar sounds of Hermanos Gutiérrez.

Oodalalee: Concerts at Pier 62 will take place at Seattle’s Waterfront Park, south of the famous Pike Place market and managed by the non-profit Friends of Waterfront Park. Oodalalee marks the first large-scale, ticketed concert series of its kind at Pier 62 since its renovation and opening last year.

Pier 62 holds a capacity of 2,500 fans and features “a stage with views of the city’s stunning downtown skyline and mountain ranges as the backdrop,” according to a press release.

Hermanos Gutiérrez will open the Oodalalee concert series on June 1 followed by performances from Silversun Pickups, Watchhouse (f.k.a. Mandolin Orange), Del the Funky Homosapien and Dan the Automator, Cosmo Sheldrake, Blind Pilot & John Craigie, Fruit Bats, Otoboke Beaver, Queer Pier Pride and Gimme Gimme Disco. Additional performances will be announced soon.

“Concerts at Pier 62 were such a vital part of Seattle’s music ecosystem. I have warm memories of attending shows on the waterfront and know many others in our community do as well,” said The Crocodile’s creative director Hunter Motto in a statement. “We’re overjoyed to bring our favorite local, national, and international artists to Pier 62 — it’s a magical and historic place.”

Joy Shigaki, president and CEO of Friends of Waterfront Park, added in a statement that the city of Seattle “has always cherished live music at the waterfront, and Oodalalee adds a new chapter to that tradition.”

Tickets for most shows are on sale now. See the full lineup and dates for Oodalalee below:
