Gatwa’s “Doctor Who” Season 2 Episode Titles

Just a few weeks out from the launch of the second season of Ncuti Gatwa’s run in “Doctor Who” and the BBC has revealed the episode titles and writers and directors for each of the upcoming eight episodes.

Showrunner Russell T. Davies is writing the first two and last two episodes of the season as well as co-writing the third with rising young writer Sharma Angel Walfall (“Dreamland”).

Pete McTighe, who wrote two Jodie Whittaker episodes and worked on the upcoming “The War Between The Land And The Sea” series, will pen the fourth.

Playwright Inua Ellams (“The Break”) writes the fifth and best-selling novelist Juno Dawson writes the sixth.

Peter Hoar directs the first and fourth episode, Amanda Brotchie helms the second and third, Makalla McPherson directs the fifth, Ben A. Williams the sixth, and Alex Sanjiv Pillai helms the last two.

The titles are as follows:

1. “The Robot Revolution”
2. “Lux”
3. “The Well”
4. “Lucky Day”
5. “The Story & the Engine”
6. “The Interstellar Song Contest”
7. “Wish World”
8. “The Reality War”

Joining Gatwa, Varada Sethu and Millie Gibson will be guest stars Jonah Hauer-King, Kadiff Kirwan, Freddie Fox, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Anita Dobson, Christopher Chung, Michelle Greenidge, Ruth Madeley, Rylan Clark, Jemma Redgrave, Susan Twist and Alan Cumming as the voice of Mr Ring-a-Ding.

The new season of “Doctor Who” launches on April 12th.
