Full Trailer: “Doctor Who” S2 On Disney+

Disney+ has released the full-length trailer for the second season of Ncuti Gatwa’s run on “Doctor Who” which offers better looks at Varada Sethu as the new companion Belinda Chandra.

In the new season, The Doctor meets Belinda and begins an epic quest to get her back to Earth. But a mysterious force is stopping their return and the time-traveling TARDIS team must face great dangers, bigger enemies and wider terrors than ever before.

Millie Gibson’s Ruby Sunday, who served as the first season companion, is expected to show up in several episodes. Russell T Davies serves as showrunner and executive producer for the second season.

The trailer offers looks at various, quite different vistas on the new season including some more sci-fi style outings than Gatwa’s first season.

The big question is if this will be the last season for Gatwa, and possibily even “Doctor Who” as talk of the first season’s underperformance on the streamer has led to much speculation about the show’s future.

A potential third-season renewal isn’t expected to be handed out until after this second season airs. The new run commences on BBC and Disney+ on April 12th.
