Today’s new trailer gives us a better idea of the new movie’s storyline, with the film centered on the children and grandchildren of a woman who beat Death many years before the original Final Destination movie. She’s been outrunning Death for some time, it seems, but it has finally caught up to her and intends to collect the souls that were never supposed to exist.
The newest chapter in New Line Cinema’s hit franchise is said to “take audiences back to the very beginning.” Here’s the official synopsis for Final Destination Bloodlines:
Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.
Final Destination Bloodlines stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, and Anna Lore, with Brec Bassinger.
The late horror legend Tony Todd will be making his final big screen appearance in Final Destination Bloodlines, again playing recurring franchise character William Bludworth.
The franchise’s new installment is directed by Adam Stein & Zach Lipovsky. Final Destination Bloodlines is rated “R” for “Strong violent/grisly accidents, and language.”
